Early Years - New Starter Information

Welcome to all of our new starters.

Here you will find information about starting school in our Nursery and Reception Classes.

In this section of our website you will find lots of resources to help support you and your child with starting school, whether that be transitioning into our Nursery or Reception classes.  Please go to our "Learning - Early Years Learning" page to find out more about our EYFS provision.

We are delighted that you have chosen to join our school community and we look forward to working in close partnership with you over the coming years.  We see ourselves as one big family here at St George's CE Academy and we can't wait for you to join us.  If you are a brand new member of our school family, we are looking forward to starting this journey together with you.  If you already have children with us or have previously had children with us, we look forward to welcoming you back.

Starting nursery or school is such an exciting time but can also be a little worrying and daunting sometimes too.  A positive and happy transition is very important to us and we want to make sure your child has the best start when joining us at school.  To help with the transitioning into our school, this website will contain lots of tools that you can share with your child to help them feel more confident about the school and their new teachers.

This page aims to help you keep up to date with communications from school and will help your child to become more familiar with the staff and surroundings that will be an integral part of in no time at all.
