4/5S Safer Internet Day

Yesterday (11th February) was Safer Internet day, which this year was focused on the hashtag #freetobe. The children discussed what they should be free to do on the Internet but then focused on how people need to behave as an online community to ensure everyone is able to enjoy those freedoms.

The children were then given different scenarios and asked if the behaviour of the person in it was appropriate. Different stations were set up around the classroom and children moved to the statement that matched their opinion. As a class, we then discussed all the relevant e-safety aspects of their choices.

The children will move on to produce informative brochures on the key online safety rules that children in school should follow.
