Hello,
Here is today’s home learning for those who are off due to covid reasons.
English
Today we will be creating our own acrostic poem about poppies. I am including a power point on why we wear poppies, a copy of ‘In Flanders field’ to read, a poem template and a blank poppy for you to colour in and bring into school to add to our class wreath.

Topic
This afternoon we will be looking at democracy. I am attaching an information power point, activity cards to decide who is allowed to vote and a worksheet to complete. Please complete only the 1st page of the worksheet. On slide 14 of the power point it asks whether certain groups should be allowed to vote or not. Please write down your own opinions on this and the reasons why.

Maths Homework
The school has been entered into a competition associated with rockstars. Your maths homework this week is to practice online your times tables. Every question you get right contributes towards our class total and the school total. However, little and often is the best way. Please do not spend more than half an hour a day on rockstars.
Spellings
Please find attached this weeks spellings.
