6G 14.9.2020 Class Information

Hi everyone,

After a great first week back at school, with lots of getting to know you activities, it was great all the children in Class 6G so settled and ready to learn.

Useful Information

Homework folder with work came home on Friday with the children. This is due to be back in school by Wednesday morning so they are ready for the Friday.

School reading books – with a reading record – came home on Friday. Our day to access the library and school reading scheme is Friday. This is when the children will return their books to me (to be quarantined) and they can choose another book. It would be great if parents could read regularly at home and record this in the reading records.

Spellings – Spellings will come home on a Monday evening and the children will be expected to learn these for a test on Friday. They will be a range of the year 5/6 spelling list and different spelling patterns that 5e children will be expected to know by the end of year 6.

PE – Our Pe slots are on Wednesday afternoon (outdoor) and Friday morning (indoor). The children can come to school in their kits in these days. Please ensure they are appropriate for the weather e.g. outdoor days, children can wear tracksuit bottoms and trainers so they are warm enough.

Home learning – For these children who are off due to Covid-19 related illnesses, work will be uploaded onto the app (under the heading 6G Home Learning). This will be a similar way of working as it was during lockdown but the work will mirror what is being covered in school.
