Let's Connect - The Invisible String

As a school family, we began thinking about the theme ‘Let’s Connect’ as part of Children‘s Mental Health Week. We listened to the story ‘The Invisible String’ written by Patrice Kars where we shared the importance of always being connected to those that we love.

If you would like to share this story at home you can listen to it here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2rZNTFf35Aw

"A wonderful story about how being apart from those you love doesn't mean you are all alone. When you love someone, you are always connected by your invisible strings. It helps children manage feelings and navigate difficult emotions."

The Invisible String offers a very simple approach to overcoming loneliness, separation, or loss with an imaginative twist that children can easily understand and embrace, and delivers a particularly compelling message in today's uncertain times.

After reading 'The Invisible String' we talked about how we are all connected to those whom we love. We have attached photos of the learning that has taken place across the school this week. We hope you enjoy looking at activities and experiences that the children have engaged in this week.
