RE and Worship
At St George's, Religious Education (RE) is taught with a strong emphasis on our core values: Love, Faith, Courage and Honour. We believe that RE should inspire students to explore the big questions of life, develop a deep understanding of different world religions, and grow in their personal faith journey. Through engaging lessons and reflective worship, we encourage students to show love and respect for others, fostering an inclusive environment where all beliefs are valued. Our teaching nurtures courage, helping students to think critically, ask bold questions, and stand firm in their beliefs. We instill honour by promoting ethical living and the importance of integrity, encouraging students to act with kindness and respect in all aspects of their lives. We aim to be the best we can - honouring God by using the gifts He gave us. RE at our school is not just about knowledge; it's about shaping compassionate, thoughtful individuals who embody our vision and values in everything they do.
Rev Anthony Smith is a regular visitor to school and we have close links with St George's and St Laurence's Church.
Our School Worship Team meets regularly to plan events and worship throughout the year. We worship every day in school including whole school worship, Key stage worship and Class worship.
