Charlotte has won a National Poetry Competition!

St. George’s are so proud to announce that one of our Year 1 children has won a prize in a national science poetry competition. Charlotte wrote a poem titled ‘My Friend and I’. The About Us competition invited young people to create poems and Scratch animations exploring the many ways life across the universe is connected. Open to young poets and coders aged 4-18, the competition received over 1500 entries from across the UK. A panel of expert judges selected ten top poetry winners and nine top coding winners, along with six highly commended poetry winners. Here you can see the winning entries.
