Class 3G – Science Investigations

Over the last 2 weeks in Science, the children have been carrying out a couple of investigations. Firstly, they investigated how different surfaces affect how much force an object needs to move across a surface. They did this using a toy car, an elastic band and a forcemeter. We tested the carpet, the concrete, a smooth floor and the grass. 

Secondly, the children investigated what happens when two magnets are put together. Using bar magnets, the children had to investigate whether the north and south poles would attract or repel.
