Class 4/5S – Meet Gareth and the Brainy Bunch!

Meet Gareth and the Brainy Bunch!

This afternoon, we welcomed Gareth into school to deliver a new programme using a blend of the positive powers of physical activity and mental well being techniques.

Gareth will be in every Friday for the next 6 weeks to deliver a mixture of classroom and active learning sessions which will allow Class 4/5S to learn about their brains and how their brain and body are linked. By understanding our brain and how different parts are in charge of different things, we can discover how to be in charge of our brains.

This can help us feel happier and really understand ourselves and other people. The aim is to support our class to be happy and more healthy inside and out 🙂 The children should have brought home ‘A guide for parents’ which explains a little more.

English homework has been set on ClassDojo this week, the children can access this on their student portfolio.

Maths homework this week is to get on Times Tables Rockstars from Monday-Friday next week as we are taking part in a competition for Maths Week England. It’s called Rock Out 2020 and the children have brought home a little information slip explaining the competition (in their homework folders).

Have a great weekend,
Mr Mackenzie
