Contingency Plan Information

Dear Parents/ Carers

In line with Public Health and DfE Guidance, it is advised that we put a contingency plan into place where there are a number of positive cases of COVID-19 (breaching 10% of positive cases in a class or group).

Whenever the above threshold is reached, the measures set out in our contingency plan will be put into place in order to help manage the outbreak. The measures will normally last for a week from the onset and include;

  • face coverings to be temporarily worn in communal areas by all adults
  • the class or group concerned to have separate playtimes
  • Collective Worship and singing to be held in the classroom of the class involved
  • the children in the class to have lunch away from the other children
  • the possibility of more outdoor activities, depending on the weather.

These measures are on top of the existing control measures which we already have in place in the whole school which include:-

  • hand hygiene,
  • respiratory hygiene,
  • appropriate cleaning schedule,
  • keeping rooms well ventilated.

We hope you find this information useful and thank you again for your continued co-operation and support.

Many thanks
