Mobile Phone Parental Consent Form

Dear Parents and Carers, 

Pupils in Years 5 and 6 are only permitted to bring a mobile phone into school to support safety issues if they come to school independently.

If you wish for your child to bring a phone into school, it is on the understanding  that you and your chid agree to the following:-

  • All phones must be switched off during the school day.
  • It is not permitted to film or photograph anybody whilst on school property.
  • The School cannot be held responsible for the security of any mobile phones, including loss or damage and they must be kept in chidren’s bags at all times during the school day.
  • If requested, content on the phone (e.g messages, emails, pictures, videos, sound files etc) may be shown to a member of staff.

Misuse

  • Appropriate action will be taken against anyone who is in breach of our guidelines.
  • In the case of any repeated misuse, the phone will be handed over to the parent/carer who will be required to visit the school by appointment in order to collect  the phone.  If the misuse is serious, it may lead to a total confiscation, imposition of any other sanctions which may be required (this could include exclusion).  In some serious cases, the offence may have to be reported to the police.
