Pulling it Altogether – Spreading a little happiness everywhere – 21.5.2020
Hello St George’s
Happiness is a Journey. Not a destination and there’s lots of fun to be had along the way!
Hopefully exploring happiness has been fun and you’ve discovered lots of different activities that can help you to feel happy. You might have worked through each key; dipped in and tried activities here and there, or maybe you wanted to read all ten keys first end then decide which ones to pick. The order and amount of activities you’ve tried doesn’t matter but hopefully you can now take the ten keys to happier living with you and use them in your daily life. Luckily there’s an easy way of remembering them because the first letter of each of the keys together spell GREAT DREAM!
Giving – Do things for others
Relating – Connect with people
Exercising – Take care of your body
Awareness – Live life mindfully
Trying Out – Keep learning new things
Direction – Have goals to look forward to
Resilience – Find ways to bounce back
Emotions – Look for what’s good
Acceptance – Be comfortable with who you are
Meaning – Be part of something bigger
You could turn your favourite activities from the book into daily and weekly ‘happiness habits’ and you could even share them with your friends and family. You might also save some activities and try them again later when you need an extra boost of happiness.
The important thing to remember is that you can make a difference! Even small actions can lead to a happier you …. and a happier world.
- Which activities will you make your daily or weekly ‘Happiness Habits?’
- Which activities will you keep for when you need a happiness boost?
- Which activities could you teach your friends and family?
Enjoy. Be Happy! Stay safe and well. xxx
