A huge well done for making it through one whole week of home learning! We know it isn’t easy, but we are so proud of all of you for working so hard this week – well done!! 🙂
We can’t wait to share some of the fantastic things you have all been doing this week later today, but for now here is today’s home learning.
To start the day, have a listen to Spider Sandwiches (just make sure you eat your breakfast first!).
Literacy
Before we learn our new sound, let’s practise our Phase 2 sounds. Can you say them before the video does?
Today we are going to be practising the ‘b’ sound and yes, that’s right, learning another digraph! This time we will be learning the ‘ch’ sound. Have you heard that sound before?
Today we would like you to read the words in the list and copy them down carefully in your neatest handwriting. Can you say the words in a sentence? Some of you might even be able to write them in a sentence!
Maths
A big well done for working so hard on your subtraction skills this week. To finish off our learning on subtraction, we have set you a challenge to complete on Mathletics. You have until Monday morning to complete your challenge! (If you have already completed ‘subtraction from 5/10’ on Mathletics you won’t be assigned this challenge, but you can have another go if you would like).
If you need any help logging into Lexia, please send us a message at ufdn@stgeorges.darlington.sch.uk and we will be happy to help!
Once you have completed your challenge, why don’t you try playing some of these games to help you practise your subtraction.
