This term we will be covering the Tudors as our topic.

As historians, we will be researching the Tudors and their impact on Modern Britain.

We will be exploring how they brought to an end the War of the Roses, how they established stability across England, and how they went on to become one of England’s most famous ruling families.

We will investigate what life in Europe and the wider world was like during this period.

As artists and designers, we will look at a range of famous artists and how they depicted the heavens to link with our RE.

The children will have the experience of using a range of mediums to create light and dark.

As Scientists, we will be investigating light and how it can be reflected and how it travels.

In RE, we will be studying the concepts of creation and fall.

We will be looking at Psalm 8 and how as Christians we can be good stewards of Earth.

The children will be given opportunities to confidently share, explain and defend their own opinions and beliefs

In PE, we will be playing a range of team games and improving our own individual skills, whilst learning how to communicate effectively as part of a team.

In PSHE, we will identify, reflect on and express pride in our own achievements, strengths and skills. We will share aspirations and set goals for their short- and longer-term future, identifying areas where they can develop and improve.
